This is my first diary on Daily Kos, so bear with me. And many thanks and props to Kid Oakland for his support of local blogging.

Dan Seals, the Democrat candidate, is running a vibrant and fierce campaign for the IL-10 seat against incumbent Mark Kirk. This campaign has taken off in a district that   is just north of Chicago. Years ago, this was the district that Don Rumsfeld claimed and Abner Mikva proudly represented. And now, the voters of the 10th are working their  behinds off to elect a candidate that can truly represent their district.

For starters, Seals is a terrific candidate.
