A federal judge in Montana has ordered that gray wolves in the northern Rockies be returned to the endangered species list.

The preliminary injunction granted by U.S. District Judge Donald Molloy is expected to derail plans by Montana, Wyoming and Idaho to allow public hunts for the predator.

In an unprecedented buyout, Florida will buy out United States Sugar for $1.75 billion, setting the stage for a restoration of nearly 300 square miles of the Everglade

Well if nothing else it is stories like this that tells us we better have a Dem in office not a Rep.

The court drew a distinction it seems that cannot be more than compensatory.
I am not a legal person at all, however I think Exxon should have paid a lot more than a paltry $500 million for the destruction caused in Prince William Sound. If nothing else, it would have been good PR for them.

I LOVE ARNOLD!!! I love this man sometimes...He tells auto industry to stop whining!!

The Republican governor met Thursday with the executives, who requested the get-together. In an interview afterward, he said he told them "the train has left the station" and that they should stop challenging California rules that are intended to help slow the rate of global warming.

"I said, 'While you're whining, you should be creating new technologies. That's how you meet the date," Schwarzenegger told The Associated Press after meeting with members of the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers.

He can have his Hummer that is hydrogen powered, I could care less. It's about time someone consistently stood up to Big Auto and he has. Remember he is serving without pay. He volunteered to not get paid as the state has such financial issues.
